Weekly Photo Challenge: Joy, the Sequel

DSCN3125

On Christmas we went to my sister-in-law’s brother’s house where he has an aviary in his basement. He’s a bird-lover who’s passion brings joy to many. He’s got birds, hairless guinea pigs and turtles in the aviary.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.

2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.

3. Follow The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements, and subscribe to our newsletter – we’ll highlight great photos from each month’s most popular challenge.

Wishing you peace and joy all through 2014!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

Getting an award for teaching was quite unexpected last week. Apparently my former students did very well on a standardized test, which I really don’t prepare them for anyway. Most of the teachers here do merit awards so while I’m honored, I’d like to bestow awards on all my fine colleagues.

This week I have time and internet access to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge. Halleluiah! It’s been awhile. Last week I couldn’t get to my blogs and other weeks, either the prompt didn’t inspire me or I was just too busy.

Above I’ve shared photos of my Saturday habit, walking to the bus, going downtown and savoring the music with a cappuccino at Starbucks while I do classwork, grade or write.
