Which Way Challenge

Hong Kong

The Which Way Challenge, that Cee began, has been picked up by the Alive and Trekking blogger.  The beauty of it is that it’s free form.

This week I’m sharing a street in Hong Kong.

You can include images of doors, gates, roads, streets, exits, signs, paths, waterways, canals, railroad tracks, you name it.

If You’re Going to Buy a Car

Unless you’re a shark or master negotiator, you’re probably naive when it comes to buying a car. While there must be some honest car dealers, the field is full of scoundrels, who’ll try to get as much as they can out of you by adding on all kinds of ridiculous fees. This video shows you what they are so you’re empowered to Just Say No.

Even though I’m not in the market for a car, I found this video fascinating. It explains how to negotiate when you’re planning to pay cash to buy a car. Kevin Hunter takes you through the process step by step so you don’t waste money.

This week Sepia Saturday inspires bloggers to share images with people and cars. The photo above reminds me of a clown car. I looked for photos with

Women and cars, cars with character. I was just lamenting to a friend how cars seem to resemble each other and how there’s little variation. I’m saddened that the new version of the VW Bug is to be no more. So I’m looking for cars with charm and character.

Now I’d be worried about driving in a small car surrounded by so many SUVs.

Funny

My Dad got a new car on Friday. I always love the smell of new cars and it’s fun to see the new features and be in such a pristine vehicle.

What makes me laugh is there are all kinds of voice activated features, but they don’t exactly work right. So when I was getting my first ride, my father told the car to “Turn up the air conditioning.” and the car turned on the radio to a station in L.A. with a traffic report. Then Dad repeated his request and the car turned on the heating.

There are a few kinks.
